An introduction to all members of Crying Light Studios who have been in at least one short film and who continue to help out with productions
Darien Reimold is a current freshman at the Penn State York campus and is the founder of Crying Light Studios. Darien's biggest passions in life are film and music creation, being able to play a wide variety of instruments and having many film credits under his belt. He enjoys collecting records, bowling, writing, and trying every flavor of Mountain Dew. Darien loves to volunteer with different non-profit groups and working with people that share his same passions.
Braeden Ness is a music and video creative, creating many of the songs used in Crying Light Studios films and country music of his own. Braeden is a third degree black belt in Taekwondo, can play multiple instruments (guitar, trumpet, piano), and loves kayaking. Braeden is a frequent actor within the films and has delved into directing as well.
Carter Coats is a current Junior in high school and one of the original members of Crying Light Studios. Carter is a multi-instrumentalist, mainly playing guitar and trumpet, and an admirer of the creative arts. He plans to start creating his own short films and exploring the world of film.
Lucas Rishel is a current Junior in high school and the fourth member to join Crying Light Studios. Lucas is known for his comedic additions to the short films and his acting skills are top notch, coming from a background in musical acting. Lucas plays the trumpet and is heavily involved in musical activities.
Jonah Lewis is a current Junior in high school and is the first Crying Light Studios member to create and direct their own short film. Jonah enjoys learning about a multitude of subjects, playing video games, reading, and playing the euphonium. He is very musically active, joining his high schools symphonic, jazz, marching, and pit bands.
Daphne McNamara is a current Junior in high school and was the first actress to join Crying Light Studios. Daphne is lover of video production and plans to pursue something in that field after high school. One day she hopes to create a studio of her own where she can produce her own short films.
Ryan Kane is a current Senior in high school. Ryan is looking to go into the army as a combat medic and continue as an EMT after his service. He plays drums, is the captain of his high schools Quiz Bowl team, and has dabbled in solo video creation, aiding in idea generation for the studio.
Ryelan Swartz is a current Freshman in high school. Ryelan enjoys creating videos and music, hoping to create his own short films and being able to play the alto saxophone. He enjoys collecting physical music and enjoying live concerts.
